Odette and the Outsiders

How amazing is this Nouvelle Vague inspired editorial in Dazed...
Nothing like hanging on the Champs Elysee.
It is more reminiscent of Godard's 1962 Vivre Sa Vie than '64's Band A Part

I know the september issue of Dazed has been banging around for a while now, unfortunately my geographical distance from the centre of cool means that I am a bit behind. (I heard once that Australians are meant to be 2 years behind the times, so I cant be doing too bad). Now I pay quadruple the amount to find out about stuff that happening in London, and even though its air freight, its never on time. blah blah blah Antipodean blah blah. At least beautiful photos transcend my time/space isolation.

Paris, J'taime.....toujours

This time last year I was traveling around gorgeous, mid-summer Europe. Just thinking about it is enough to make me swoon. I am jealous of my previous self and would give anything to go back in time and experience everything all over again. Looking at these photos by Brian Ferry (young photographer, not Love of my Mums Life) I am instantly transported back to the streets of Paris. The smell, the atmosphere and the people. It is recognisable as nothing but sweet Paris. Some people might see falling in love with Paris as a cliche. I feel like its an unavoidable truth.
